Baymatob™, a pioneer in women’s health and AI-guided monitoring for maternity and child birth, is excited to announce the appointment of Dr Sarah McDonald as Chair of the Board, Tara Croft as Chief Executive Officer, and Tony Barclay as Acting Chief Financial Officer.
Sarah is the founder of Baymatob and as CEO has worked to establish and grow the company over the last eight years. She is an inventor of Oli, Baymatob’s AI-guided maternity sensor, monitoring and diagnostic platform that empowers healthcare providers to acquire, interpret and predict critical information on pregnancy progression and risks to mothers and their babies. Sarah conceived of and transformed the Oli platform from a research focus as part of her PhD in medicine to a clinically-validated product in a commercial venture that has secured more than $4.7M in non-dilutive funding to date. In her new role as Chair of the Board of Directors, Sarah will utilise these experiences to provide strategic oversight to Baymatob and to continue to provide the vision and direction for the Company’s future.
Tara has been a valued member of the Baymatob team for 2 years in the role of COO. During this time she has been instrumental in executing on the Baymatob vision and has successfully led the company to recently achieving FDA Breakthrough Device Designation for its first product application. Tara is a MedTech expert with 15 years of industry experience, having had leadership roles at two of Australia’s most successful medical technology companies – ResMed and Nanosonics. Academically, Tara developed and delivers the Biomedical Industry Frameworks subject at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS). She also lectures at the postgraduate level in technology and innovation management. As CEO, Tara will be supported by Sarah and the Baymatob Board of Directors to lead the Company to achieve its next stage clinical, regulatory and commercial milestones.
Tony has been working with Baymatob for the last year as an advisor and more recently as a member of its Board of Directors. Tony brings over 30 years of experience in global business, specifically in finance, risk management, product development, governance, manufacturing and international operations. As the former CFO of Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, Tony is well equipped and experienced to support and assist Baymatob in its financing, organizational development and strategic partnering.
